What are expiry alerts?
If you manage your contractor company's documentation in Twind, you know that keeping documents up to date is key for your workers to maintain access to your clients' worksites and work centers. Until now, spotting a document about to expire depended on manual checks.
With the new expiry alerts, Twind automatically monitors the expiry dates of the documents you upload, both in the "Library" and in "Requirements". When a document is 15 days from expiring, you will see a clear warning so you can renew it before it lapses.
This feature is available on the AI Plan.
For contractor companies and suppliers
Alerts in the Document Library
When a document in your "Library" is close to expiring, an orange warning banner appears directly on the document. Clicking that banner opens a side panel where you can upload the renewed version of the document without leaving the screen.
If the document has already expired, the banner turns red so you can identify the most urgent cases at a glance.
Alerts in Requirements
In the "Requirements" section, alerts work in a similar way: an orange banner tells you that a document is about to expire. Clicking it opens a full-screen flow that guides you step by step to upload the renewed document.
Additionally, Twind sends you email notifications when a document linked to a requirement is close to its expiry date. That way, even if you are not inside the platform, you will receive the warning in time.
ℹ️ Keep in mind: email notifications are only sent for documents linked to requirements, not for documents in the Library.
Multi-requirement renewal
When you renew a document that is linked to several requirements from different clients, Twind detects this automatically. When you upload the new version, the system shows you which other requirements use that same document, so you can update everything from a single point.
Documents are renewed one by one to ensure that each version is correctly linked.
⚠️ Important: multi-requirement renewal only applies when the same document satisfies the same type of requirement across several requirements. If they are different documents, you will need to renew each one separately.
What changes for you day to day?
With expiry alerts active, you no longer need to track expiry dates manually. Twind takes care of warning you with enough lead time so you can act before an expired document blocks your workers' access to a worksite.
In short:
You can see at a glance which documents are close to expiring (orange) and which have already expired (red).
You renew directly from the warning, without searching for the document on another screen.
You receive reminder emails for requirement documents.
You update a document across several requirements at once if it satisfies the same requirement type.
