How do I download the QR access cards for my resources in Twind?

Learn how to download the QR access cards for your workers, vehicles, and machinery in Twind. The QR code is unique per resource, universal across all clients, and only available when access is authorised.

What are QR access cards and when are they available

  • QR access cards are unique codes that identify each resource (worker, vehicle, or machinery) within Twind. They are used to register entry and exit at the client's facilities as part of the Business Activity Coordination (CAE) process.

  • The QR card will only be available to download once the resource has been validated and their access to the workplace has been authorised.

ℹ️ Please note: each resource has its own QR code, and it is universal — once downloaded, it works for any client that uses QR access control in Twind. You do not need to download a different QR code for each client or site.

Steps to download the QR code

  1. From the side menu, select ‘Access’.

  2. Locate the authorised resource and select ‘Download access card’.

  3. In the window that opens, click ‘Download QR code’ to save it to your device.

What to do with the QR code once downloaded

Once downloaded, the QR code is ready to be presented at the access control point at the client's facilities. You do not need to do anything else on the platform.

You can print the card or save it on the worker's mobile phone so they can show it when arriving at the workplace.

⚠️ Important: the QR code is personal and non-transferable. Each resource has their own and it must not be shared with other workers.

Can't see the option to download the card?

If you search for a resource in the "Access" section and the "Download access card" option does not appear, it may be because:

  • The resource does not yet have authorised access. Check whether they have pending or rejected documentation that is blocking access.

  • The resource is not assigned to the client's contract.
