Complete guide to configuring requirement request rules

With requirement request rules you can define precisely who gets asked for a document and when, combining up to 4 simultaneous conditions. We explain how to configure them step by step.

What are request rules?

Request rules automatically determine when Twind asks for a requirement. Instead of assigning it manually, you define the conditions and Twind takes care of the rest. You can combine up to 4 conditions in a single rule to adapt it to complex scenarios.

How to configure a request rule

1. Access the requirements settings

In the left-hand side menu, click "Settings" and then click the "Requirements" tab.

Navigate to Requirements Section

Initiate Adding New Requirement

2. Create or edit a requirement

Click "Add" to create a new requirement, or select an existing one to edit it. In the requirement configuration screen, scroll to the bottom and click "Add rule".

Open Rules Addition Interface

3. Define the rule conditions

You can request a requirement when one or more of the following conditions are met:

Review First Condition Details
  • Site — the workplace or site where it applies.

  • Activity — the type of activity the subcontractor carries out.

  • Contractor — a specific subcontractor company.

  • Contract — a specific contract.

  • EU Category

    Choose Site Parameter

4. Select the first condition, tick the applicable values using the checkboxes, and if needed, click "Combine with another condition" to add up to 3 additional conditions.

Inspect Second Condition Settings

5. Save the rule

Once all conditions are defined, click "Save". The rule will be active and Twind will automatically start requesting the requirement whenever the configured conditions are met.

Save Requirement Configuration

Common combinations

You can combine any pair of conditions. Some frequent examples:

  • Site + Activity → to request specific documentation based on where and what type of work is carried out.

  • Site + Contract → to apply the rule only to a specific subcontractor at a given site.

Redundant rule detection

When a more general rule already covers a scenario, the more specific rule will not run. To help you identify these situations, Twind includes a tool that detects redundant rules and alerts you so you can simplify your configuration.
