Who is this feature for?
The Document Library in Twind covers two different situations if you are a principal company. Identify which one applies to you:
📁 You only subcontract — you have no clients in Twind. Your problem is internal management: your employees', vehicles', and equipment documentation is scattered across local folders, emails, or drives. There is no single place to see which documents are current, which have expired, and which are missing. When an auditor or your own team needs to find a vehicle's driving licence or an employee's medical certificate, they search manually. The risk is not losing a client — it's losing control of your own resources.
🔄 You subcontract and are also a contractor for your own clients in Twind. You have the same internal management problem, plus an additional one: the same documentation must be available, organized, and up to date for multiple coordination contexts with your own clients. Every time a client requests a requirement you have already met for another, you search for the file again, upload it again, and wait for validation again. The cost multiplies with each new client.

The documentation you have already organized in the Document Library is ready to share in any contract, whenever you need it — no searching, no duplicates, no repetitive manual uploads.
And when Single Submission becomes available (coming soon), you will be able to send a document to all matching requirements across all your clients in a single step. The Document Library you build today prepares you for that workflow.
What can you do with the Document Library?
Upload up to 20 files at once via drag & drop (PDF, Word, Excel, images, ZIP…). You can group several files into a single document before continuing.
Organize each document with metadata: name, subject type (company, employee, vehicle, equipment), subject name, document type, issue date, and expiry date.
Filter and find any document by subject type, subject name, document type, and document name — with smart cascading filters.
View documents in a full-screen viewer with preview, zoom, rotation, and direct download.
Edit metadata or add and remove files from an existing document.
Access each resource's documents directly from its detail record and from the action menu in the employee, vehicle, and equipment lists.
Automatically approve internal requirements (Internal Management contract): evidence is approved instantly, without going through "Pending review". Configurable by your administrator from Global Admin.
How to access it
You will find the Document Library in Twind's side menu, just below Resources. If it does not appear, the feature is not yet activated on your account — contact your Customer Success Manager.
Frequently asked questions
Will my clients see my internal documents?
No. Documents you upload to the Document Library are private to your organization by default. They only reach a client when you explicitly select them for a requirement. You can work with complete peace of mind.
What happens to my documents if I deactivate or delete a resource?
Resources are archived, not deleted. Historical documentation is preserved and remains visible in the Hub filtered by that subject. You will not lose the accumulated document history.
What happens if I delete a document from the Document Library?
Requirements where you had already submitted it are not affected. The compliance history remains intact.
