What do I do if I get an error when uploading a document in Twind?

If you see an error message when trying to attach a document in Twind, you don't need to start over. Most errors have a specific cause and a quick fix.

ℹ️ Please note: this article applies to Twind.

Check these points before trying again

Before uploading the file again, review the following:

  • The file format is not supported. Twind accepts PDF, JPG, PNG and other common formats. ZIP, DOC, XLS and other editable formats are not supported. If your file is not in a valid format, convert it before uploading.

ℹ️ Please note: some requirements have specific format restrictions defined by your client. Check the "Acceptance criteria" of the requirement before attaching the file.

  • The file exceeds the maximum size. The maximum allowed size per document is 10 MB. If your file is larger, compress the PDF or reduce the image resolution before uploading.

  • The file name contains special characters. Rename the file and remove accents, spaces, brackets or symbols such as #, &, %. Use only letters, numbers and hyphens.

  • The browser is outdated or has active extensions. Use an updated version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Disable extensions such as ad blockers or VPNs while uploading the document.

If the error persists: steps to resolve it

  1. Clear the browser cache. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac), select "Cached images and files" and clear the data. Then try uploading again.

  2. Try a different browser or device. If Chrome doesn't work, try Edge or vice versa. You can also try from another computer or from your phone.

  3. Check your internet connection. An unstable connection can interrupt the upload. Make sure you have a good signal or connect via cable if possible.

  4. Try uploading a different file. If the error only occurs with one specific file, the problem may be with the file itself. Try exporting it again or scanning it a second time.
