Coming soon: editable contracts with subcontracts and integrated resource approval — what's new for contractors and clients

We're changing the subcontracting flow in Twind. If you're a contractor, you manage your entire chain from Contracts. If you're a client, you approve or reject the resource changes sent to you, directly on the platform.

In short: fewer steps for you, more control for your client.

What's changing in subcontracting management

The subcontracting flow in Twind is about to evolve. If you're a contractor company, you'll be able to manage your entire chain from a single place. If you're a client company, you'll have full control over the resources operating at your facilities. In this article we explain what's new and how it affects you.

If you're a contractor company: your subcontracting chain, under control

From "Contracts" you'll be able to see the complete tree of your subcontracting chain with all its levels. Need to subcontract? From the same flow you'll be able to create the subcontract, assign a work center and activity, and invite the contractor company. Once created, you'll assign the resources that will operate: workers, vehicles, equipment, and products.

What really changes: editable contracts even with subcontracts

Until now, if a contract already had associated subcontracts, its configuration was locked. To adjust anything, you had to expire the contract and recreate it from scratch — losing the assigned resources along the way. That's over.

With the new version you'll be able to:

  • Change the restriction mode — "No restriction", "Requires authorization", or "Client only" — even if the contract already has active subcontracts. If you loosen the restriction and there were subcontracts pending approval, you'll receive a warning. If you confirm, they'll all be approved automatically.

  • Adjust the maximum subcontracting level (from 1 to 10) up or down, as long as you don't go below the deepest level you've already created.

  • See the reason why a field is locked. If the "Work Center" field appears disabled, the platform will indicate the cause (for example: it has dependent subcontracts).

All changes will be recorded in the contract's history. Complete traceability, with no extra effort.

ℹ️ Keep in mind: if your contract has several linked activities, the resources you assign will be assigned to all of them — not just one. If you need a resource to operate only under a specific activity, create it in its own contract or subcontract.

If you're a client company: you approve it — nothing moves without your sign-off

When a contractor assigns, modifies, or removes a resource from a contract, you'll receive a notification. No change will take effect until you approve it.

From "Pending approvals" you'll see all the changes grouped by type. You can approve or reject them one by one, or use "Approve all" / "Reject all" if you've already reviewed the whole set. From "Relevant documentation" you'll be able to check which requirements are linked to each authorization, what's still missing, and what's already approved.

ℹ️ Keep in mind: if your contractor's contract has several linked activities, what you approve will be assigned to all of them equally.
