How to add internal users in Twind

Learn how to create internal users in Twind step by step: basic details, language, role and permission assignment. Each user will receive an email invitation to activate their account.

You will most likely need to add users to manage the platform just like you do, don't worry, you can do it!

When you need to add internal users

If more people in your company need access to Twind to manage contracts, CAE documentation, or resources, you can create a user account for them directly from the platform. Each user will have their own access with the permissions you define.

ℹ️ Please note: To add users you need the Contractor Admin role. If you cannot see the user management option, contact the person in your company who administers Twind.

Steps to create a user

  1. Go to "User management".

  2. Click "Add user".

  3. Enter the new user's basic details: first name, last name, and email address.

  4. Select the user's preferred language. This will be the language in which they see the platform and receive emails.

  5. Open the "Roles" section and tick the permissions the user needs. Assigning at least one role is mandatory. Each role includes a breakdown of permissions visible in the table so you can choose the most appropriate one.

  6. Click "Add" to confirm.

What happens next

When you click "Add", the new user will receive an email with the subject "Welcome to Twind!" containing a link to create their password and activate their account. Once registration is complete, they can always log in at https://app.twind.io/

⚠️ Important: Make sure the new user completes the registration process using the link in the invitation email. If they do not receive it, ask them to check their spam or junk mail folder.

Which role to assign based on what the user needs to do

The role you assign determines what the user can see and do within Twind. There are three roles available for contractor companies:

  • Contractor Admin — full control of your company's management in Twind. Can edit company details, manage users, companies, contracts, resources, and upload documentation. Can also view access control. This is the only role that allows creating and managing other users.

  • Contractor Manager — day-to-day management profile. Can edit companies, contracts, resources, and upload documentation. Can view (but not edit) company details and access control. Cannot manage users.

  • Contractor Reader — read-only access. Can view companies, contracts, resources, uploaded documentation, and access control, but cannot edit or upload anything.

ℹ️ Please note: None of the three roles includes access to client configuration, requirement review, APIs, backups, or work permits. These features are exclusive to the main client. You can modify a user's roles at any time from "User management".
