Check these causes first
Most cases have a quick fix. Go through each point in order until you find the one that applies to your situation.
The worker hasn't been added to "Resources"
To assign a worker to a contract, they must first exist in Twind. Go to "Resources" in the left-hand menu and check that the worker appears in the list. If they don't, you need to add them before you can assign them to any contract.
The worker has been deactivated
If the worker was deactivated in Twind and no longer appears as active in "Resources", you won't be able to link them to any contract. Check their status and, if appropriate, reactivate them.
The contract is expired or inactive
If the contract's validity dates have passed, it's not possible to assign new resources. Check the dates in the "Contracts" list. If the contract has expired but the service relationship continues, contact your principal client to update the dates or create a new contract.
The worker is already assigned to that contract
If the worker is already linked to the contract, they won't appear in the available resources selector. Review the list of resources already assigned within the contract to confirm whether they're already included.
The contract has no activity or risks configured
Some contracts require the activity and risks to be defined before workers can be assigned. If the contract has no activity assigned, Twind will block the assignment. Check that the contract has an activity defined and, if not, configure it before continuing.
You don't have permission to manage the contract
Your user profile may not have permission to assign resources. In Twind, permissions depend on the role assigned by your company's administrator. Contact your account administrator to verify that you have the necessary permissions.
You've reached your plan's resource limit
Depending on your Twind plan, there may be a limit on the number of resources you can add or assign. Check your current plan at the bottom of the left-hand menu and contact your administrator if you need to increase capacity.
Still unable to link the worker?
ℹ️ Please note: if none of these situations apply to your case, contact our support team with the worker's name, the contract name, and a screenshot of the error or behaviour you're seeing. This will help us assist you faster.
