Contracts in Twind
Contracts are the backbone of your management in Twind: they connect your company with the principal clients and determine what documentation, workers, and resources you need to keep in order. In this article we explain what each contract status means and how to resolve the most common issues.
Contract statuses
Each contract in Twind has a status that shows what phase it's in. These are the possible statuses:
Active: the contract is current and operational. You can assign resources (workers, vehicles, and machinery) and upload documentation.
Pending: the contract has been created but is not yet active. It may be waiting for the principal client to confirm it or for a prior requirement to be completed.
Closed: the contract has ended. You can no longer assign new resources or upload associated documentation.
Expired: the contract has passed its validity date without being renewed. It works similarly to a closed contract.
ℹ️ Please note: you can only assign resources and upload documentation on contracts with Active status. If your contract has a different status and you need to operate, check the sections below.
I can't find my contract in the list
If you go to "Contracts" in the side menu and can't see the contract you're looking for, this may be due to several reasons:
Active filters: check that you don't have any filters applied that are hiding the contract. Click "Clear filters" or review your search criteria.
The contract hasn't been assigned yet: the principal client is the one who creates and assigns contracts. If you can't see it, it may not have been assigned to you yet. Contact your principal client to confirm.
The contract is closed or expired: depending on your filter settings, closed or expired contracts may not appear in the default view. Try changing the status filter to include them.
Wrong company: if you manage several companies or subcontractors, make sure you're looking at the contracts from the right company.
⚠️ Important: if you've checked all of the above and still can't find your contract, contact us. We'll need the principal client's name and the contract name or number to look into it.
I can't assign resources to the contract
If you try to assign workers, vehicles, or machinery to a contract and can't, there are several possible causes: the contract status, user permissions, activity and risk configuration, among others.
We've prepared a specific article with the 7 most common causes and how to resolve them: Why can't I link a worker to the contract?
