Check your resources' access control
The "Access" section in Twind lets you see, in real time, whether your contractor companies' workers, vehicles and equipment are allowed to access a site. This is key in Coordination of Business Activities (CAE) to make sure only resources with up-to-date documentation get in.
Step 1: Go to the "Access" section
In the left-hand menu, click "Access".
The "Access status" tab will open.
Step 2: Find the resource you want to review
You will see a table with all resources (employees, vehicles, equipment, products) and their access status. For each one, it shows the "Client", "Contractor", "Sites and activities", "Current status" and "Access end date".
Use the "Client", "Resource type", "Resource", "Site" or "Status" filters to quickly find the one you need.
The possible statuses are:
"Not allowed": the resource cannot access because documentation is missing, or there are rejected requirements or requirements without an active tolerance period.
"Allowed": the resource has all requirements in order.
Step 3: Open the access details
Click the "···" button at the end of the resource's row.
In the menu that opens, choose "View details".
ℹ️ Please note: from this same menu you can also "Download access card" and "Download QR code" for the resource.
Step 4: Review the issues blocking access
On the "Access details" screen you will see:
The resource's data (name, contractor company, site and assigned risk).
The access control restriction setting applied.
The associated contracts and activities with their current status.
The "Issues" panel, which lists all requirements blocking access with their status:
"Pending upload": the document has not been uploaded yet.
"Rejected": the document was reviewed and not accepted.
ℹ️ Please note: from this panel you can go straight to managing the requirements by clicking "Manage requirements", in the top-right corner of the issues panel.
Step 5: Take action to unblock access
Once you have identified the pending or rejected requirements, you have two options:
Notify the contractor company so they upload or correct the required documentation.
Manage the requirements yourself by clicking "Manage requirements", if you have permission to do so.
When all requirements are validated, the resource's status will automatically change to "Allowed".
⚠️ Important: the "Restrictive" access control setting means that any pending or rejected requirement will block the resource's access, no matter how many other requirements are in order.
