Temporary authorizations are now on your phone

Create, edit and delete temporary authorizations directly from the Twind Access Control app, without going back to the web.

Release date: June 22, 2026

Written by: Twind Team

Create, edit and delete temporary authorizations directly from the Twind Access Control app, in real time, from any facility.

Act on access exceptions from wherever you are

It's 7 a.m. A worker arrives at the facility and needs a temporary authorization that wasn't planned. The security guard has to create it right now, on the spot. Until now, that meant calling someone at the office, finding a laptop or waiting for someone with web access to handle it.

Not anymore. Temporary authorizations are now in the Access Control app. You create, edit, delete and check the history from your phone, without leaving your field workflow.

Here's what changes:

  • Create a temporary authorization on the spot: you fill in the form from the app — same fields and validations as on the web — and access is authorized instantly.

  • Edit or delete without going to a computer: any change to an active, scheduled or expired authorization is made from the detail panel, in seconds.

  • History always available: every action is logged with origin APP, user and timestamp, in all statuses.

The security guard no longer depends on anyone to handle an access exception.

ℹ️ Please note: creating, editing and deleting temporary authorizations is not available in Local Mode.

How does it work?

  1. Go to the "Temporary authorizations" section from the app's Home screen. You'll see the list of active and scheduled temporary authorizations for the active site, sorted by end date.

  2. Create a new temporary authorization with the "+ Add" button. Fill in the required fields: name, authorizer, contractor, resource, site, value (Allowed / Not allowed), dates and reason.

  3. Edit or delete any temporary authorization from the detail panel. Changes are immediately reflected in the resource's access status.

  4. Check the full history of each temporary authorization from the detail panel. Available in all statuses: active, scheduled, expired and deleted.
