How to manage temporary authorizations in Twind Access Control

Create, view, edit and delete temporary authorisations via the Twind Access Control app to allow or block access to a resource for a specific period.

Download Twind Access Control: Google Play · App Store

ℹ️ Twind Access Control is a Twind Add-on — an additional feature contracted separately. If you don't have it activated yet and you're interested, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Temporary authorizations let you temporarily change a resource's access status for a defined period of time — without altering its permanent document compliance.

Roles that can manage temporary authorizations: Client Admin.

⚠️ Temporary authorizations are not available in Local Mode. The create, edit, and delete actions are disabled while Local Mode is active.

Create a temporary authorization

You can create one from the + icon on the Home screen or from a resource's detail view. The form includes: name, authorizer, contractor, resource type, resource, site, value (Allowed / Not allowed), start and end dates, and reason.

View temporary authorizations

The Home screen shows the active ones for the site. Possible statuses: Active, Scheduled, and Expired.

When a resource has an active temporary authorization with the value Allowed, its access status shows the Temporary authorization label, regardless of its document status.

Edit a temporary authorization

Open the authorization and tap the edit icon. You can edit authorizations in Active, Scheduled, or Expired status. All changes are logged in the Changelog.

Delete a temporary authorization

Open the authorization and tap Delete. A confirmation dialog appears. This action can't be undone.
