Download Twind Access Control: Google Play · App Store
🔌 Twind Access Control is a Twind Add-on — an additional feature contracted separately. If you don't have it yet and are interested, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Unattended Mode allows Twind Access Control to process access automatically, without any manual input. The app reads QR codes and registers entries or exits without anyone having to press a button — ideal for access points where no operator is continuously present.
Required role: Client Admin.
How it works
✅ If the resource is Permitted → the entry or exit is registered automatically.
🚫 If the resource is Not permitted → access is blocked and no record is created.
By default, the app uses the front camera. You can switch to the rear camera at any time from the viewer screen:
Open the app.
Find the camera switch icon at the top of the screen.
Tap the button to toggle between the front and rear camera.
Step 1: Enable Unattended Mode
Go to "Settings" (settings icon on the bottom bar).
Select "Unattended Mode".
Enter your password to confirm activation.
A password is required to prevent accidental activation.
Security while active
While Unattended Mode is active, accessing the "Settings" menu also requires a password. This prevents unauthorized users from disabling or modifying the device configuration.
Step 2: Disable Unattended Mode
Go to "Settings" and enter your password.
Disable the "Unattended Mode" toggle.
The mode remains active until it is manually disabled.
ℹ️ Please note: Unattended Mode is compatible with Local Mode — you can combine both for an access point that operates automatically and without an internet connection.
Check access records in Twind
You can review the details of each access directly from the web platform.
Each record shows:
Resource: worker's name, type, and ID number
Contractor: the company the worker belongs to
Locations: site or access point
Entry / Exit: location, date and time, status (Permitted / Not permitted), record origin, the user who registered it, and notes
