What happens when you delete a resource assigned to contracts in Twind?

When removing a worker from a contract, Twind automatically evaluates their situation. Depending on the case, the deletion may be immediate, require client confirmation, or ask you to complete a previous step first.

When deleting a resource, there are 6 possible scenarios

When you try to remove a worker from a contract, the platform checks the current status of that resource. The outcome varies: the deletion may be direct, the client may need to approve it, or you may need to fill in a required field before you can continue. Below we explain each case so you know what to expect.

The worker has no associated contracts

If the resource is not linked to any active contract, you can delete them directly. You will only need to confirm the deletion — there are no additional restrictions.

The worker has several contracts with no restrictions

If the worker is assigned to several contracts and none of them have special conditions, you can delete the resource without any additional restrictions.

When deleting, Twind will show you an alert listing all affected contracts. Once you confirm, the resource will be automatically removed from all listed contracts.

The worker is at a site

If the resource is at a site and has a pending exit, you cannot delete them directly from the contract.

In this case, you must contact the site's client so they can register the worker's exit. Once registered, you will be able to manage the removal of the resource from the contract.

Notificación de Imposibilidad de Eliminación

ℹ️ Keep in mind: if you find you cannot delete the worker, check whether they are assigned to a site within the contract.

The client must confirm the deletion

In some contracts, the client company must approve the removal of a worker before it takes effect. When this happens, Twind automatically sends a deletion request to the client. The resource will continue to appear in the contract until the client confirms the removal. You do not need to do anything else — Twind manages the request for you.

Check if the contract has been accepted

You can check the response in two ways:

  • Directly: click "Open". The contract will open directly, where you can check its status.

    2. Check the status to see the client's response.

The contract requires a mandatory employee type

If one or more workers in the contract do not have an "Employee Type" assigned, you will not be able to remove them while this field is mandatory in the contract. To proceed, assign the employee type to all workers who still have it pending. Once completed, you will be able to carry out the removal.

To resolve this:

The worker has a mandatory risk assigned

If the contract has one or more mandatory risks configured and the worker you want to remove is the only one assigned to one of those risks, you will not be able to remove them.
