❓ Already familiar with the process but something isn't working? If you get an error when trying to assign a worker, the worker doesn't appear in the list, or you can't link them to the contract, go straight to Why can't I link a worker to the contract?, where you will find the 7 most common causes with their solution.
Access the assignment panel
In the left-hand side menu, click "Contracts".
Find the client's contract and click "Assign resources", which appears on the contract row when you hover over it.
Inside the assignment panel, select the type of resource you want to assign: Employees, Vehicles, Equipment, or Products.
For example, if you want to assign an employee, go to the Employees section and click "Add employee".
Select the relevant employees from the list, or click "Create employee" to register a new one.
For each employee, define:
Select the worker type
Site and activity where they will carry out the work. Select the site and click "Apply".
Risks associated with the activity. Select the risks and click "Apply".
ℹ️ Keep in mind: you can also select all employees and define everything at once.
6. Repeat the process in the corresponding tabs ("Vehicles", "Equipment", and "Products") as needed for your contract.
7. Click "Save" to confirm all assigned resources.
ℹ️ Keep in mind: if a worker does not appear in the list, they most likely do not have a worker type defined. Go to "Resources" → "Employees" → "Edit employee" and complete it. See all possible causes in Why can't I link a worker to the contract?
Common errors and how to fix them
I can't see the "Assign resources" button
If you open the contract details and can't find the button, check these two reasons:
The "Assign resources" button is not at the top of the contract. It is inside the "Sites and activities" table, in the "Actions" column. Click the "Select" dropdown in the corresponding row.
Your company does not have the main contractor role on that contract. Only the main contractor can assign resources. Contact your client to verify the permissions.
A worker doesn't appear in the list when I try to assign them
The worker is registered under "Resources" but doesn't show up when assigning. Check:
They don't have a worker type defined (employed or self-employed). Go to "Resources" > "Employees" > "Edit employee" and complete it at the bottom of the form.
They are already assigned to the same contract from another tab.
I saved the assignment but my worker still can't access
Assigning to the contract is only the first step. For access to be granted, the worker also needs approved and current validation documentation for all critical requirements.
For all possible causes with step-by-step solutions, see Why can't I link a worker to the contract?
After assigning resources
Once assigned, the next step is to upload documentation for each resource. Only when the critical documents are in "Approved" status and within their validity period will your resources be able to access the client's facilities.
Are you a subcontractor?
If your company participates as a subcontractor, you can manage your own resources directly from your "Contracts" section in Twind. The assignment process is the same, but applied to your subcontract.
If you have questions about the permissions available in your subcontract, contact the main contractor to confirm.
ℹ️ Remember: assignment to the contract does not automatically grant access. It is essential that the resource's critical documents are approved and within their validity date.
