Subcontracting in Twind: check the permission and create the subcontract
In Twind, as a contractor you can subcontract another company to work under your contract. To do so, your contract must have subcontracting enabled. If it does, you can create the subcontract directly from the platform.
Below we explain how to check whether your contract allows subcontracting and how to assign the subcontracted company.
Check if your contract allows subcontracting
To check whether you have permission to subcontract:
Go to the side menu and click on ‘Contracts’.
Find the relevant contract and click on "View contract" to open its details.
In the contract details, look for the "Allow subcontracting?" field.
If the detail ‘Allow subcontracting?’ indicates YES, you have permission to subcontract; if it indicates NO, you must contact your Contract Manager.
Create the subcontract and assign the company
Once you've confirmed that your contract allows subcontracting, follow these steps:
From the contract detail, click on "Create subcontract" to add a subcontracted company.
Click on "Search" and type the name of the company you want to subcontract.
Select the company from the results.
Click on "Save" to finish. The subcontract will be registered under the main contract.
ℹ️ Please note: if the company you're looking for doesn't appear in the results, it may not yet be registered in Twind. In that case, contact your Contract Manager so they can send the invitation.
