What are contracts in Twind?
A contract in Twind represents the service relationship between your company (contractor) and a client. Each contract groups together all the information needed for CAE management: the workplaces where you will operate, the activities you will carry out, the workers and equipment you assign, and the documentation you must provide.
It is your client who creates the contract and assigns it to you. You cannot create contracts, but you can manage them: assign resources, upload documentation, check compliance status, and in some cases subcontract other companies.
How to access the contract list
In the left-hand side menu, click "Contracts". The list will open showing all contracts your clients have assigned to you.
What information you will see for each contract
The list shows a table with the following columns:
Contract name: the name given by your client. Includes a "Main contract" or subcontract label as applicable.
Client: the client company that registered you and created the contract.
Main contractor: the company holding the main contract. If you are a subcontractor, the company that subcontracted you will appear here, not the end client.
Sites and activities: the workplaces where you will operate and the type of activity assigned to the contract (cleaning, maintenance, construction, etc.).
Resources: the number of employees, equipment, and vehicles you have assigned to the contract.
Dates: the contract validity period (start and end dates).
Compliance: percentage of documentary compliance for the contract.
Actions: "Select" button to open and manage the contract.
What does the compliance percentage mean?
The "Compliance" column is probably the most important figure in the list. It reflects what percentage of the documentation required by your client has been correctly submitted and validated.
100%: all documentation is up to date. Your workers should be able to access the site without issues.
Between 1% and 99%: you have pending, rejected, or expired documentation. Review which requirements are missing to avoid access denials.
0%: you have not submitted any documents yet, or everything you have uploaded has been rejected or has expired.
⚠️ Important: if a contract's compliance is below 100%, your workers may not be able to access your client's site. Requirements marked as critical by your client are the ones that block access: if any of them is pending or expired, the affected worker will not be authorised.
How to search and filter contracts
If you have many contracts, you can use the filters at the top of the list to quickly find the one you need:
"Contract" filter: search by contract name.
"Client" filter: filter by client.
"More filters": expands additional filters to refine the search (by site, activity, etc.).
"Show subcontracts" checkbox: includes or excludes subcontracts from the list. If you are a subcontractor of another company, enable this option to see your contract.
"Show expired contracts" checkbox: includes contracts whose validity period has ended. Useful for checking historical records.
How to export the list
If you need the list outside of Twind (for audits, internal reports, or your own records), click the "Export" button in the top-right corner. Twind will generate a file with the information in the current list, applying any active filters.
What you can do inside a contract
To open a contract, click the "Select" button in the "Actions" column of the corresponding row. Inside the contract, you can:
1. View contract details
You will see all contract information: client, workplaces (sites), activities, validity dates, and overall compliance status.
2. Assign resources (workers, vehicles, and equipment)
You can link the workers, vehicles, and equipment that will provide service under this contract. Once assigned, Twind will automatically request the corresponding documentation based on the rules configured by your client.
3. View and manage documentary requirements
Inside the contract you will see the list of requirements your client is requesting, both at company and worker/equipment level. You can view the status of each one (pending, uploaded, validated, rejected, expired) and upload documentation directly from here.
4. Subcontract another company
If your client allows it, you can subcontract part of the work to another company directly from the contract. The subcontracted company will need to meet the same documentation requirements as you.
5. View the change log
You can see the record of changes made to the contract: when resources were assigned or unassigned, when documentation was uploaded, etc.
ℹ️ Keep in mind: to assign resources to a contract, you need to have them created in Twind beforehand. If a worker, vehicle, or piece of equipment does not appear as available, go first to "Resources" in the left-hand side menu and create it there. You can then assign it to the contract.
Common problems and how to resolve them
"I can't see any contracts in the list"
Check that you don't have active filters hiding the contract. If you still can't see it, your client may not have created it yet or may not have assigned it to you. Contact your client to confirm.
"I'm a subcontractor and I can't find my contract"
Enable the "Show subcontracts" checkbox at the top of the list. It may be disabled by default and subcontracts will not be shown.
"Compliance is below 100% but I've already uploaded everything"
Review the status of each requirement inside the contract. A document may have been rejected by your client (a rejection reason will be shown) or may have expired since you uploaded it. There may also be new requirements that your client added afterwards.
"I can't assign a worker to the contract"
Check that the worker is registered under "Resources". If they are already created, check that they have no restrictions preventing assignment (for example, if they are already linked to another contract from the same client with assignment restrictions).
"The contract appears as expired"
If the contract dates have lapsed, it will appear as expired. Contact your client to update the validity dates or create a new contract if the service relationship continues.
