Something's not working in Twind: common errors and how to fix them

If something isn't working in Twind and you're not sure where to start, this guide covers the most common issues for contractors — grouped by topic — with a direct solution for each one.

I can't log in to Twind

I've forgotten my password

Go to the Twind login page and click "Forgot your password?". You'll receive an email to reset it. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.

I'm not receiving the recovery email

Make sure you're using the email address you were registered with in Twind. If you can't remember it, contact your company administrator to check.

I've changed my email address and can no longer access my account

If you no longer have access to your old email address, you won't be able to recover the account on your own. Contact our support team with your name, company, and the new email address you'd like to use.

My account appears as inactive or blocked

Your company administrator may have deactivated your user account. Contact them to reactivate your access from the Twind user management settings.

Issues with workers and contract assignment

The worker doesn't appear in the list when I try to assign them

Check the following in order:

  1. The worker must be registered in "Resources" > "Employees". If they don't appear, add them first.

  2. They must have their worker type defined (employed or self-employed). Without this, they won't appear in the list. Go to "Resources" > "Employees" > "Edit employee" and complete it at the bottom of the form.

  3. Check that the worker hasn't been deactivated. If they were previously unlinked, they won't appear as available.

  4. Verify that the worker isn't already assigned to that contract — in that case they won't appear in the selector again.

I can't see the "Assign resources" button

The button isn't at the top of the contract. It's inside the "Sites and activities" table, in the "Actions" column of each row. If it still doesn't appear, your company may not have the main contractor role on that contract. Contact your lead client to verify.

I've assigned the worker but they still can't access the site

Assigning the worker to the contract is just the first step. For them to gain access they also need:

  • Risks assigned on that contract.

  • Their critical documentation to be in "Approved" status and within its validity date.

My profile won't let me manage the contract

Permissions in Twind depend on the role assigned to you by your company administrator. If you can't perform an action you need, contact your administrator to review your profile.

Issues with subcontractors

I can't see the option to add a subcontractor to the contract

To add subcontractors, the lead client must have the subcontracting option enabled for your contract. If you don't see it, check with your client whether that feature is active for your contract.

The subcontractor doesn't appear in the list

The subcontracting company must be registered in Twind and have accepted the invitation. If they don't appear, check that you sent the invitation correctly and that they've accepted it.

I've added the subcontractor but they can't assign their workers

The subcontractor must complete their own worker registration and resource assignment process in Twind. Each company manages its own resources. If the subcontractor has questions, they can check How to assign workers to a contract?
